South Hampstead High School, the Independent Girls' School of the Year 2022, is looking for a committed and energetic Head of Art to lead a lively Art department.

The successful candidate will teach Art from Years 7 to 13 to highly motivated, independent, and inquisitive students. They will play a pivotal role in the management of the department, promoting excellence in teaching and learning, and contributing to whole school policy-making and strategic planning.

The Head of Art will also be expected to build on the current program of exhibitions in the school exhibition spaces and take a proactive stance in promoting the public face of the subject.

Knowledge of contemporary art practice and excellent leadership skills, teaching experience up to A Level, and management experience are essential.
